2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk's performances during organized team activities and minicamp weren't what you'd expect from a former first-round pick entering his third year in the system. Instead of Aiyuk, it was Ray-Ray McCloud making play after play in practices with Deebo Samuel sitting out. Aiyuk and quarterback Trey Lance worked out in California in the offseason, but they weren't always on the same page during offseason practices open to the media. The 24-year-old was disappointing in his second season, especially early in 2021, and he finished with 56 catches for 826 yards and five touchdowns on 84 targets in 17 regular season games. Aiyuk should have a big role in his third season, but it'll come in a low-volume passing attack with a QB that likes to run.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
