Starling Marte Returns Against Cubs
2 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte (groin) is back in right field and is hitting second on Thursday against Chicago Cubs right-hander Keegan Thompson. Marte hasn't played since injuring his groin last Saturday, but fantasy managers will have him back heading into the weekend before next week's All-Star break. The 33-year-old veteran has been a solid contributor for fantasy managers all year, hitting .291/.342/.462 with an .803 OPS, nine home runs, 40 RBI, 50 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 299 at-bats. Fantasy managers are hoping he can pick up where he left off in the month of July, as he's gone 13-for-34 (.382) with two home runs and four RBI in nine games so far this month.
