2 years agoFree-agent offensive tackle Mitchell Schwartz announced his retirement from professional football on his Twitter account on Thursday. Mitchell, a first-team All-Pro in 2018 with the Kansas City Chiefs, hadn't played since 2020, when he started six games for KC before suffering a season-ending back injury. The 33-year-old was released after the 2020 season and never latched on with another organization. He was originally a second-round pick by the Cleveland Browns in 2012 out of Cal, and he played his first four seasons before spending five years with the Chiefs.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
