Jose Altuve Day-To-Day With Leg Contusion
2 years agoUpdating a previous report, Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve (leg) is considered day-to-day with a leg contusion. He exited Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Angels early after being hit by a pitch in the knee during the first inning. The 32-year-old limped towards first base after the HBP and was eventually removed from Thursday's game. Mauricio Dubon replaced Altuve in the game and will handle second base duties on Thursday. Dubon is 1-for-3 in Thursday's game so far and would see an uptick in playing time while Altuve is sidelined. The Astros could play it safe and keep Altuve out with the All-Star break set to start on Monday. Stay tuned.
