Rangers Considering Extension With Martin Perez
2 years agoThe Texas Rangers appear to be interested in keeping starting pitcher Martin Perez around long term. The 31-year-old is having a rebirth in 2022 with a stellar 2.61 ERA through 18 starts with Texas. He's a first team All-Star and is well worth his current one-year deal worth $4 million. That being said, general manager Chris Young is open to the possibility of bringing back Perez after the 2022 campaign. The left-hander spent the first seven years of his career with Texas. This is by far the best season of his career, so we'll see if Perez is able to obtain a long term deal with Texas.
