2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Juan Yepez (forearm) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Friday with a right forearm strain. The severity of the injury is unknown currently, but an update should be available within a few days. After a solid first few months at the plate, Yepez has had a disastrous July, with a slash line of .149/.196/.277 and only two home runs. This injury could explain some of his struggles, but he could be tough to keep around for fantasy managers with no IL spots available. Lars Nootbaar was recalled in a corresponding move and could see decent playing time while Yepez is hurt.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
