2 years agoWashington Nationals designated hitter Nelson Cruz left early during Friday's game against the Atlanta Braves. Cruz was replaced by pinch-hitter Ehire Adrianza in the sixth inning, although there has been no explanation for the move. Cruz has been rumored as a trade candidate, which might be the reason for the move, but he could also have suffered an injury during the contest. The veteran slugger is hitting .242 with eight homers, 39 runs, 48 RBI and three steals in 2022. Look for the Nationals to update his status once Friday's game concludes.--Matt T - RotoBaller
