Rafael Devers Provides Lone Run For Red Sox
2 years agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers was the team's offense in a 14-1 rout at the hands of the division-rival New York Yankees on Saturday night. Devers went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in the contest. The 25-year-old will start at third base for the American League in next week's All-Star game, and he heads into the final game of the first half of the season on Sunday with an exceptional .327/.382/.606 slash line with a .989 OPS, a league-high 112 hits, 22 home runs, 55 RBI, 62 runs scored, a league-high 208 total bases and two stolen bases in 343 at-bats. Devers is an obvious must-start candidate in all single-year leagues as one of the best hitters in baseball.
