Braves Want To Keep Dansby Swanson
2 years agoThe Atlanta Braves want to keep All-Star shortstop Dansby Swanson around while he's in the midst of a career year. If his form holds, the Braves will make their offer to Swanson after the Aug. 2 trade deadline. If he does become a free agent, it will be another excellent year for the free-agent shortstop market. Xander Bogaerts will almost certainly opt out of his deal with the Boston Red Sox, and so will Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa. Los Angeles Dodgers All-Star Trea Turner will make it four. People believe that Turner prefers to go back to the East Coast. Swanson has been excellent for fantasy managers this year, hitting .294/.353/.481 with an .833 OPS, 15 home runs, 53 RBI, 60 runs scored and 14 stolen bases in 394 plate appearances over 94 games.
