Bucs Not Happy With Leonard Fournette's Weight
2 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers coaching staff isn't happy with running back Leonard Fournette, who is up to 260 pounds this offseason. "Coaches were not happy, and that's an understatement, when he didn't participate in the OTAs, but then he shows up at the mandatory minicamp weighing damn near 260," Stroud said. "And that's not a good sign for a guy that you just spent a three-year contract on." Tampa took rookie Rachaad White in the third round and also have Ke'Shawn Vaughn, Giovani Bernard and Kenjon Barner on the depth chart, and they could be used more often early in the year if Fournette needs to be spelled more often. White has pass-catching chops as well and could steal third-down work from Fournette in 2022. Fournette is looking like a shaky low-end RB1 heading into training camp.
