2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw will start for the National League in Tuesday's All-Star game in Los Angeles at Dodger Stadium. Kershaw may have made only 12 starts in the first half due to injury, but he's well-deserving of the nod to start the Midsummer Classic in the stadium that he's called his home since 2008. The 34-year-old future first-ballot Hall of Famer flirted with a perfect game in his final start of the first half against the Los Angeles Angels, ultimately giving up just one hit over eight shutout innings for his seventh win. When he's been on the mound, he's still been excellent, posting a 2.13 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP with 75 strikeouts and only 12 walks in 71 2/3 innings.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
