2 years agoThe Chicago White Sox selected Oswego East High School left-hander Noah Schultz with the 26th overall pick of the 2022 MLB draft on Sunday. This pick might have been a bit of a reach, but Schultz has immense upside for a high school arm. The Vanderbilt commit stands at 6-foot-9, 220 pounds, and uses a three-quarters arm slot from the left side. He has the ability to touch 96 mph with his fastball already and he also has a devastating sweeping slider that could be a great put-away pitch. The 18-year-old is currently improving his changeup and has posted excellent spin-rate numbers on his offerings. It's unlikely that Schultz will pitch at Vanderbilt now.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
