2 years agoBoston Red Sox left-hander Rich Hill (knee) threw a 35-pitch bullpen session at Yankee Stadium last Saturday, and he could return to the starting rotation shortly after the All-Star break. Hill said he wore his knee brace during his latest bullpen session and it felt great. The Red Sox could really use the veteran southpaw back after they just lost Chris Sale again to a broken left pinkie finger that he suffered in the final game before the All-Star break. The 42-year-old Hill may not need to go on a minor league rehab assignment. In his 15 starts for the BoSox this year, Hill has gone 4-4 with a 4.20 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 58 strikeouts and 23 walks in 70 2/3 innings pitched.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
