Giancarlo Stanton Wins All-Star Game MVP Award
2 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder/designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton took home the All-Star Game Most Valuable Player award in Tuesday's 3-2 American League win. Stanton went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run and a strikeout. He got the AL team on the board in the fourth inning, tying the score up after demolishing a Tony Gonsolin slider into the deep left-center seats. The 32-year-old has only compiled a .237 batting average to this point, but he also has an impressive .516 slugging percentage with 24 HR and 61 RBI. Stanton will remain a second-half fantasy asset as long his average doesn't drop too far.
