2 years agoKansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon's return endangers Ronald Jones' chances of making the final 53-man roster more than some are willing to admit, according to Chiefs Wire's Charles Goldman. Jones isn't strong in pass protection and hasn't been a very good receiver, which are both things that McKinnon does well. McKinnon and rookie Isiah Pacheco also have plenty of special teams experience, while Jones has just under 200 career special teams snaps. A lot will depend on how Jones looks in training camp, but if he wows the coaching staff, he could steal plenty of early down touches from Clyde Edwards-Helaire in 2022 after CEH struggled in 2021. The 24-year-old definitely needs to get off on the right footing with his new coaching staff, but a lot would have to go wrong for him to get cut altogether.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
