Yordan Alvarez Activated From Injured List
2 years agoThe Houston Astros are activating outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (hand) from the injured list on Thursday, with outfielder Jose Siri being sent to the minors in a corresponding move. Alvarez spent the minimum time on the 10-day injured list with right hand inflammation, but he's not in the starting lineup for Game 1 of a doubleheader against the New York Yankees on Thursday. Fantasy managers should expect the 25-year-old to return to the lineup for Game 2 against Yankees right-hander Domingo German. When he's in the lineup, Alvarez is a must-start in fantasy. He hit .306/.405/.653 with a 1.058 OPS, 26 home runs, 60 RBI and 57 runs scored in 268 at-bats in the first half of the season to earn his first All-Star selection.
