Cade Otton Cleared For Training Camp
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers rookie tight end Cade Otton (ankle), who missed organized team activities and minicamp while recovering from ankle surgery, has been cleared to begin training camp on July 27. It's great news for the third-round pick, but his chances of making an impact in his first NFL season got worse when the team signed Kyle Rudolph to a one-year deal on Wednesday evening. When healthy, Rudolph and Cameron Brate should be Tampa's top pass-catching tight ends, making Otton mostly a speculative pick late in rookie-only drafts in 2022. In 31 college games with the Washington Huskies, Otton produced 91 receptions for 1,026 yards and nine touchdowns, so he certainly has intriguing pass-catching abilities at his position.
