2 years agoBoston Red Sox first base prospect Triston Casas (ankle) is expected to return to action at Triple-A Worcester this weekend. The 22-year-old first baseman has been out since mid-May with a high ankle sprain and just finished up a rehab assignment. In four games on his rehab assignment, Casas, the club's No. 2 prospect per MLB Pipeline, went 6-for-14 with a home run and three doubles. He has hit .248/.359/.457 with an .816 OPS, six home runs, 22 RBI and 22 runs scored in 36 games for Worcester so far in 2022. Standing at 6-foot-4, his combination of bat speed, strength and leverage give him plus raw power from the left side of the plate. But Casas isn't just a one-dimensional power bat, as he can control the strike zone well.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
