2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta (lat) is expected to begin a minor league rehab assignment "within the next week," according to president David Stearns. Peralta is potentially a bit ahead of schedule and could return to the team's rotation by the middle of August. The 26-year-old right-handed landed on the injured list on May 22 with a right lat strain, so he'll require multiple rehab outings before the Brewers are comfortable activating him. Before his injury, he had gone 3-2 with a 4.42 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, 50 strikeouts and 13 walks in 38 2/3 innings over eight starts. The 2021 first-time All-Star also has a 2.10 FIP and should be stashed in all fantasy formats with his return looming.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
