Cardinals Put Maxx Williams On PUP List
2 years agoThe Arizona Cardinals placed tight end Maxx Williams (knee) on the Physically Unable to Perform list on Friday. Williams only played in five games for Arizona last year due to a serious knee injury that he's still rehabbing. It remains to be seen if he'll be able to practice this summer, and if he remains on the PUP to begin the regular season, he'll have to miss at least the first four games. The 28-year-old has played in only 14 games (13 starts) in the last two seasons in the desert, catching 24 of 27 targets for 295 yards and two touchdowns. The Cardinals have Zach Ertz as their clear No. 1 receiving tight end, and they also drafted rookie Trey McBride. Williams is well off the fantasy radar entering the 2022 season.
