2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies infielder Jean Segura (finger) is hoping to begin a minor league rehab assignment next week, and he thinks he could rejoin the team following the team's road trips against the Pittsburgh Pirates and Atlanta Braves. Segura has been hitting and throwing recently without any issues. The 32-year-old will return to an everyday role at second base for the Phillies after he's able to get through a rehab assignment. Before his injury, he was hitting .275/.324/.407 with six home runs, 19 RBI, 22 runs scored and eight stolen bases in 179 plate appearances over 44 games played. Bryson Stott has been seeing most of the playing time at the keystone for the Phils with Segura sidelined.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
