2 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. put together a historic performance against the Boston Red Sox on Friday. The 28-year-old went 6-for-7 with a double and five RBI in the 28-5 victory. Yes, the Red Sox managed to allowed 28 runs in a game. Gurriel became the first player since Rafael Devers in 2019 to collect six hits in a game. Also, Gurriel is the first player since Anthony Rendon in 2017 to record six hits and five RBI in a single contest.
