Dustin May Throws 49 Pitches In Rehab Outing
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers right-hander Dustin May (elbow) allowed an earned run on three hits while striking out three and walking three in two innings during his minor league rehab outing for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday. He averaged 97.1 mph on his sinker and topped out at 99 mph with his fastball in the outing. The 24-year-old's velocity certainly looked good, but he wasn't all that efficient with his control, which led to an elevated pitch count. He has yet to pitch at all this year, so he'll need at least a few more rehab appearances before he'll be an option for the Dodgers starting rotation. However, he should definitely be on the radar to be stashed in fantasy leagues if he's available. May has a 2.93 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and a 24.2% strikeout rate in 113 2/3 major league innings over three seasons with LA.
