2 years agoToronto Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen clubbed two home runs in the team's 28-5 embarrassment of the Boston Red Sox on Friday night. Jansen finished the evening 3-for-6 with six RBI, four runs scored, a walk and a strikeout. The home runs were his first since June 1, and he is now hitting .260/.329/.644 with a .973 OPS, nine home runs, 19 RBI and 14 runs scored over 82 plate appearances and 24 games. The 27-year-old has been on fire since returning from the injured list, going 6-for-17 (.353) with five runs scored in five games. It's nice to see Jansen swinging the bat well after missing time due to injury, but he'll continue to split time behind the plate with All-Star catcher Alejandro Kirk in Toronto.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
