Evan Longoria Exits Saturday's Game Early
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria (hamstring) left Saturday's contest against the Los Angeles Dodgers early in the fourth inning with an apparent hamstring injury. He grabbed his hamstring while trying to beat a double-play ball in the top of the fourth inning. The 36-year-old went 0-for-2 before leaving. He is considered day-to-day and will undergo further evaluation after the game. David Villar replaced Longoria in Saturday's game. Villar could see an uptick in at-bats if Longoria misses any time. The 25-year-old is slashing .216/.412/.378 over 14 games in 2022. Stay tuned for further updates.
