Michael Pineda Leaves Saturday's Start With Triceps Tightness
2 years agoDetroit Tigers pitcher Michael Pineda (triceps) left Saturday's game against the Minnesota Twins with right triceps tightness during the fourth inning. He allowed two runs on four hits while striking out three over three innings before leaving. The 33-year-old was removed in the third inning after aggravating a triceps injury. He owns a 5.27 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 23 strikeouts over 42 2/3 innings in 2022. Pineda is considered day-to-day, and it's unclear if he will make his net start Thursday against the Toronto Blue Jays.
