Julio Rodriguez Classifies Wrist Injury As "Just Soreness"
2 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) classified his wrist injury as "just soreness." He was a late scratch on Friday with left-wrist soreness and remained out of the lineup. Rodriguez is considered day-to-day. The rookie phenom will try to play Sunday for the series finale against the Houston Astros. He has been fantastic this season, slashing .275/.337/.477 with 16 home runs, 52 RBI, 53 runs scored, and 21 stolen bases over 380 plate appearances in 2022. Dylan Moore has started in centerfield while Rodriguez has been sidelined and will continue to see an uptick in playing time while the phenom is out.
