C.J. Abrams Dealing With Biceps Soreness
2 years agoSan Diego Padres rookie shortstop C.J. Abrams (biceps) was scratched from the starting lineup on Saturday against the New York Mets due to biceps soreness, according to skipper Bob Melvin. Abrams threw a lot on Friday after four days off during the All-Star break and just had a bit of a sore arm. Ha-Seong Kim replaced Abrams in the starting lineup. Abrams needs to remain rostered in dynasty/keeper leagues, but there's a good chance he's sent back to the minors once Fernando Tatis Jr. (wrist) makes his season debut sometime in August. In his first 43 major league games, Abrams has struggled offensively, hitting .231/.280/.322 with two home runs, 11 RBI, one stolen base and 25 strikeouts in 134 plate appearances.
