2 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers' (knee) minor league rehab assignment will continue for at least a couple more days, as he and the Padres felt he'd benefit by getting some more at-bats at Triple-A El Paso. In three games, Myers is 4-for-14 and went 6-for-18 in five games with Low-A Lake Elsinore. "I don't think he feels comfortable enough with the time off yet to where he's ready to face major league pitching," skipper Bob Melvin said. The 31-year-old has been on the injured list since June 2, and the Friars could choose to ease him back into action at the major league level once he's activated. In 32 games before his knee injury, Myers was hitting .234/.276/.306 with one home run, 19 RBI and 13 runs scored in 124 at-bats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
