Joshua Palmer Expected To Become No. 3 Receiver
2 years agoThe Athletic's Daniel Popper expects Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer to distance himself as the clear No. 3 receiver during training camp, behind Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. The Chargers didn't make any significant additions to the receiver room in the offseason, and their belief in Palmer could be a big reason why. The former third-rounder has solid hands and displays sharp route-running abilities, and he also has outstanding work ethic. The 23-year-old had a solid rookie season in 2021 with 33 receptions for 353 yards and four touchdowns, and Popper sees him making a sizable jump in Year 2. He impressed during offseason workouts and his stock is on the rise as a breakout candidate in the late rounds of drafts.
