2 years agoLos Angeles Angels manager Phil Nevin said that two-way star Shohei Ohtani (knee) has a bruise above his knee after fouling a ball off himself on Monday against the Kansas City Royals. Ohtani said he's OK to play on Tuesday, but the Angels will check with him again before the game. The Angels surely won't take any chances with one of the best players in the game, both on the mound and as a hitter, so don't be surprised if he's not in the starting lineup on Tuesday. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. The 28-year-old Japanese sensation went 1-for-4 with a double and a strikeout on Monday and is hitting .256/.346/.486 with an .831 OPS, 20 home runs, 57 RBI, 53 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 399 plate appearances in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
