Joe Burrow Having Surgery On Appendix
2 years agoCincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (appendix) is undergoing surgery to remove his appendix, according to a source. He will miss some practice time at training camp as a result. Better now than during the regular season. The 25-year-old former first overall pick bounced back in a big way from a serious knee injury in his rookie year by completing a league-high 70.4% of his 520 passing attempts in 2021 for 4,611 yards, 34 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in 16 regular season games before leading the Bengals to a Super Bowl appearance. Burrow also led the league in yards gained per attempt (8.9), adjusted yards gained per pass attempt (9.0), but he was also sacked a league-high 51 times. With a better offensive line in front of him, Burrow should be a safe QB1 selection once the elite names come off the board.
