2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said he, general manager John Lynch and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder) spoke on Tuesday morning, and everyone is on the same page: "We have moved on to Trey Lance." The Niners had been leaning this way since last season ended, but things have been complicated by the fact that Garoppolo remains on the roster after having offseason shoulder surgery on his right arm. The 30-year-old is expected to return to the field by mid-August, but there's a good chance he'll be with another organization by then. The Seattle Seahawks and Houston Texans are the most likely landing spots for Jimmy G, but it remains to be seen if he'll be healthy enough to start somewhere else by Week 1 of the regular season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
