2 years agoNew Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis said that he doesn't expect wide receiver Michael Thomas (ankle) to stay on the Physically Unable to Perform list for long at training camp. Thomas wasn't able to avoid the PUP to kick off camp, but it sounds like the Saints expect him at practice sooner than later. The 29-year-old missed all of 2021, but barring a setback this summer, it seems has a good chance of being ready by Week 1 of the regular season. He led the NFL in receptions in 2018 and 2019 and had a league-high 1,725 receiving yards in 2019, but that was also back when Drew Brees was still around. Thomas is coming off a major injury and will have to re-establish himself in a receiver room that now includes first-round rookie Chris Olave and veteran slot man Jarvis Landry. He should be considered a risk/reward WR3 in fantasy drafts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
