2 years agoThe New York Giants placed wide receiver Sterling Shepard (Achilles) on the Physically Unable to Perform list on Tuesday. Shepard had a lost season in 2021, playing in just three games and tearing his Achilles in Week 15 after battling lower-body injuries for most of the year. The 29-year-old isn't a lock to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season, making it likely that he'll be avoided in fantasy drafts that involve 12 teams. Once he's ready for action, he'll be involved in a competition for targets that includes Kenny Golladay, former first-rounder Kadarius Toney and rookie second-rounder Wan'Dale Robinson. Shepard has yet to have a 1,000-yard season in his six seasons with the Giants, and he's quickly becoming an injury liability.
