Kenneth Walker III Signs Rookie Deal
2 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks signed second-round rookie running back Kenneth Walker III to his four-year rookie deal on Tuesday. Walker was one of the top running backs in college football in 2021 and should play a pretty big role alongside the injury-prone Rashaad Penny in Seattle's backfield this year after Chris Carson (neck) announced his retirement from football. Penny and Walker are in line to serve as the team's primary early down options in the backfield, and given Penny's lengthy injury history, Walker will make for an excellent handcuff. The 21-year-old might also have some standalone value as an RB3/flex in deeper leagues, although Seattle's offense could struggle with Drew Lock and Geno Smith their options at QB.
