2 years agoNew Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis announced that the team agreed to terms with free-agent running back Malcolm Brown on Tuesday. With a potential suspension looming for starting RB Alvin Kamara, the Saints are adding some much-needed depth to their backfield heading into the 2022 campaign. Brown played in only seven games for the Miami Dolphins last year before landing on Injured Reserve with a quadriceps injury in October. He finished with 33 carries for 125 yards and a touchdown, adding three catches for 10 yards. The 29-year-old had his best year in 2020 with the Rams, carrying the ball 101 times for 419 yards and five TDs in 16 games. Veteran Mark Ingram II figures to be the Saints top option if Kamara is suspended, but Brown could force his way into the rotation as well.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
