Christian Arroyo, Rich Hill Starting Rehab Assignments
2 years agoBoston Red Sox infielder/outfielder Christian Arroyo (groin) will "most likely" start a minor league rehab assignment for Double-A Portland on Wednesday, according to manager Alex Cora. Left-hander Rich Hill (knee) will make a rehab start for Portland on Wednesday. Arroyo faced Hill during the southpaw's three-inning simulated game last Friday. Arroyo has limited fantasy value as a utility player for Boston who is hitting .224/.278/.362 with four homers, 13 RBI and three stolen bases in 2022. Hill has been out since July 2, but he could be cleared to return to Boston after one or two rehab starts. The 42-year-old veteran will return to a 4-4 record, 4.20 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 58 strikeouts in 70 2/3 innings over 15 starts.
