2 years agoBoston Red Sox top prospect Triston Casas (ankle) could still help out at first base in the big leagues this season. The 22-year-old first baseman has been out since mid-May with a high ankle sprain. Despite having a lengthy absence on the injured list, Casas could help out at first base for the Red Sox this season. Red Sox chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom said he "wouldn't rule it out. I think it's possible. Obviously, the injury, what that did to him in terms of just opportunity. We were looking forward to him just having a consistent year." Casas is slashing .234/.343/.421/.764 with six homers, nine doubles, 23 RBI and 25 runs in 40 games for Triple-A Worcester this season. Fantasy managers searching for power can stash Casas in most leagues if they have room on their roster.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
