2 years agoThe San Francisco Giants continue to convey to other teams that they aren't sellers, and at the moment they intend to hang on to possible free-agent starting pitcher Carlos Rodon and outfielder Joc Pederson. Rodon signed a two-year deal in the offseason, but he has triggered an opt-out clause after going past 110 innings this year. The Giants have gone 3-7 in their last 10 games and are currently at 48-50 and 17.5 games behind the division-leading Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West. They also sit 3.5 games out of the second wild-card spot in the NL. Rodon and Pederson have both been great for the Giants this year and made the All-Star team, so they'd like to hang onto them if they think a postseason appearance is possible.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
