Rhamondre Stevenson More Comfortable In Passing Game
2 years agoNew England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson is becoming more comfortable in the passing game out of the backfield. "I feel more comfortable running routes and catching the football," said Stevenson. In his rookie season, he carried the ball 133 times for 606 yards and caught 14 passes for 123 yards with five total touchdowns while taking a backseat to his teammate Damien Harris. Now, the sophomore has been running with the first-team offense so far at training camp and has cut down to 225 pounds to play a more versatile role heading into his second season. With James White recovering from a hip injury suffered last season, there could be an opportunity for Stevenson to have an increased role as a pass-catcher. The 24-year-old will have to fight off Harris for playing time, but he looks like the more attractive fantasy option as of now.
