2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm is starting at third base and is hitting third in the batting order on Thursday against the Pittsburgh Pirates and right-hander Zach Thompson. Bohm has been hot at the plate to kick off the second half of the season, and he's hitting a strong .293/.326/.403 with six home runs, 39 RBI, 47 runs scored and a stolen base in 335 at-bats on the year as a whole. This will be the first time he's hit third in the lineup since his rookie year in 2020. In the month of July, the 25-year-old is hitting .439 (25-for-57) with two home runs, 12 RBI and 11 runs scored in 16 games played.
