2 years agoThe Chicago White Sox placed right-hander Reynaldo Lopez (back) on the 15-day injured list on Thursday with a lower back strain. They'll make a corresponding roster move prior to Thursday's game against the Oakland Athletics. Lopez's injured-list stint is retroactive to July 25. The 28-year-old hasn't pitched since last Saturday due to his injury, and he'll now miss the next two weeks. Lopez has been great for the Pale Hose in a relief role this year, posting a 2.98 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with 44 strikeouts and only eight walks in 42 1/3 innings over 37 appearances (one start).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
