2 years agoDallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Gallup (knee) said on Thursday that he won't be ready for the Week 1 Sunday night season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after he tore his ACL in January. "That's not a reasonable possibility," Gallup said. The 26-year-old missed half of the season due to injury last year and still finished with 35 receptions for 445 yards and two touchdowns. With Gallup expected to be sidelined early on, rookie Jalen Tolbert and newcomer James Washington are expected to compete for targets behind No. 1 wideout CeeDee Lamb. Gallup should eventually work himself into a prominent starting role in Dallas' offense, but the fact that he won't be ready for the start of the season will drop him off many fantasy managers' cheat sheets during drafts this fall.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
