2 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Sammy Watkins (hamstring) sounds ready to practice on Friday at training camp, and head coach Matt LaFleur said the plan is to take Watkins off the Non-Football Injury list. It's good news for the 29-year-old veteran pass-catcher as he looks to gain chemistry with quarterback Aaron Rodgers in his first season in Green Bay. There's a lot of opportunity for the Packers receivers in 2022 with Davante Adams, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown all gone. Allen Lazard figures to be Rodgers' top target in the passing game, but Watkins has a chance to earn a big role. Until Watkins proves he can stay healthy and produce on a weekly basis, though, most fantasy managers will avoid him in drafts this fall.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
