Matt Ryan Pushing The Pace At Training Camp
2 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Matt Ryan has followed through on his vow to raise the intensity of training camp in his first summer with the Colts, and he's done it by demanding a greater tempo between snaps. "It's unbelievable," head coach Frank Reich said. "We've never practiced that fast. It's a mentality. It's a confidence. He told me at the start, 'I'm gonna push the tempo.' And I said, 'We'll follow your lead. Go.'" After a one-year experiment with Carson Wentz, the Colts scrapped it in favor of the veteran Ryan, who has looked really impressive in the early going in training camp. The 37-year-old may not be an every-week QB1 in fantasy in a run-first offense, but he should be more decisive and efficient than Wentz was last year, which is great news for all of the team's offensive skill players.
