DK Metcalf Healthy After Foot Surgery
2 years agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf (foot), who had surgery to remove a screw from his foot in January, said his foot is all good now. Metcalf reported to training camp earlier this week but wasn't practicing with the team due to his contract status, but that should change now that he agreed to a three-year, $72 million extension on Thursday. The 24-year-old battled through his foot injury for most of last season and finished with 75 catches for 967 yards and a career-high 12 touchdowns in 17 games in 2021. He remains one of the best and most physical downfield threats in football, but Seattle's quarterback situation is far less than ideal. Metcalf could still be a good source of touchdowns, but he figures to be an inconsistent WR2 with Russell Wilson now gone.
