2 years agoMiami Marlins left-handed pitcher Trevor Rogers (back) has been placed on the 15-day IL with lower back spasms, retroactive to July 26. This might be a good thing for Rogers, who has fallen on tough times this season and could use a break to reset and figure out what is going on. The injury could also explain, at least partially, why the lefty went from rookie of the year candidate to dumpster fire in just one season. Rogers sports an ugly 4-10 record, 5.85 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, and 83/41 K/BB ratio in 87 ⅔ IP. At least now fantasy managers who were holding out hope can put Rogers on the IL.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
