Chase Claypool Injures Shoulder Friday
2 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool (shoulder) suffered a right shoulder injury in training camp practice on Friday and he's being evaluated to determine the severity, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. The good news is that Tomlin doesn't think Claypool's injury is very serious, so he might not have to miss much practice time. He should be considered day-to-day for now. The 24-year-old didn't take advantage of JuJu Smith-Schuster's injury last year, although quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's decline in his final season probably didn't help Claypool's cause. He has plenty of big-play ability with 11 touchdowns in his first two NFL seasons, but Mitch Trubisky shouldn't inspire a ton of confidence. Claypool should be seen as a WR4/flex for wideout depth in fantasy leagues.
