Corey Seager Not In Lineup Friday
2 years agoTexas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager (leg) is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. Seager is day-to-day with a right leg contusion after he fouled a ball off said leg in last night's game. The Rangers are likely to take extra caution with Seager, who has had his problems with injuries in the past and is in the first year of a 10-year deal. Still, this doesn't seem like a long-term injury and it is likely that we will see Seager back in the lineup soon. Fantasy managers certainly hope that's the case, as the 28-year-old has been on fire in July, slashing .318/.394/.647 with eight homers in 85 at-bats. Keep an eye on his status over the weekend, and get him back in your lineup as soon as he returns.
